Rolo is my chestnut gelding who I have owned for 7 years. He is my horse of a lifetime and has shaped me into the rider I am today helping lots of dreams come true.

He ia a real professional, he has travelled far and wide across the country with me spending time at Hartpury with me at college, to Kitty Kings yard and to home in Beckington.  He really loves his job and his favourite thing was flying out of the cross country start box!

Sadly towards the end of the 2019 eventing season it was clear Rolo was not enjoying his job so much.  With the expert help of vet Chris Elliot ,we discovered Rolo had arthritis in his hocks. Following a detailed rehab programme and hock injections he is back to being a happy horse.  

 

As he is such a lovely horse I am  being very cautious with him

and decided to focus on pure dressage and registered with BD. We are currently competing at medium level and have been working really hard to establish the moves and improve them.

In our partnership together we have achieved numerous top 5 placings at BE 90 & 100 level. We were Pony Club individual intermediate champions and team champions at the Pony Club Eventing Championships in 2018 and competed at Badminton Grassroots Championships in 2019.

Since turning his hooves to dressage and affiliating with BD we have competed regularly with good placings. I was delighted to qualify and compete in the Petplan Area Festivals coming 3rd.  We also qualified and competed at the Hartpury Dressage Festival. .
